Marketing Strategies

Learning to Sell Yourself:

*Not your soul!!!

In todays economy most people are looking for ways to suppliment their income in some way. Unfortunately, as the job market starts to tighten, real estate, stocks, even opening a 'brick-n-mortar' business can be costly.

Whilst every business requires risk, and the investment of time and money, not all of them are subjected to suffering under the silent recession currently taking place, as people are challenged just to survive these days, let alone be so fortunate to afford a huge start-up cost for a new business venture. As such, the ability to invest with any sense of confidence your business will succeed has been greatly reduced.

As a business owner for 20 years myself, I finally threw in the towel 2 years ago. The housing market and current state of real estate (residential and commercial) property's literally sqeezed me out of business and forced me to explore new avenues.

Honestly, I didn't see it coming! Like most, my business had its 'ups and downs', but seriously folks having started my own business at age 17, and averaging 6 figures for nearly 20 years; it seemed a safe place to invest my passion,my talents, my time, and my money.

Facing today's reality was no easy challenge!

However, giving up was never in my blood. I began reading everything there was concerning the "Great Depression", I hunted down those who found opportunity in a bad economy. Determined; I could recver my losses and find success in my prior failures, I maintained a glipse of hope there was treasure beneath my feet. As Napoleon Hill stated; "If you can think it, you can acheive it."

To my amazment, the scars I suffered losing my business, my home, and the pressure my wife and children endured as a result, almost seemed to be a nightmare from which I could not wake. There is no greater feeling then working hard your whole life only to awaken to the realization it was there one minute, gone the next.

In any and/or all absolution, seeking sympathy or pity has never sit well with me. Making excuses doen't get the job done or pay the bills. If you have children, then you know it doesn't set a very good example for them to get back up after falling down either.

Therefore, today I want to discuss how you can build financial security with little or no major investment.

Marketing is a broad subject online and off. We market our passions, talents, skills, education, spiritual beliefs, our looks, even our deepest innermost emotions are being marketed on a daily basis. In fact, we are groomed to see our work or our occupation as an extension of who we are.

Guess what; much of what we've taken for granted on the socioeconomic level is a flat out lie!

So many people are ripped off, cheated, scammed, or simply spun-out as they've lost focus on what they love, their true passions, and even who they are to a degree. While money damages a lot of peoples lives, and life demands money for survival, let's explore some ways you can market your skills, talents, passions, ideas, or even your looks if you're into that sort of thing, in a way that allows you the freedom to be you.

Ultimately, at the center of our survival marketing is rooted into our very being. If a baby hungers, it cries, the mother then interprets the demand and supplies the need. The ultimate art of marketing is the ability to master and understand the psychology of pursuation. Children master this early!

In this blog, we will be reviewing several types of marketing strategies that are designed to create a structured evaluation of who you are, where you are now, where you long to be, and ultimately what you hope to achieve in life.

Ask yourself; "How do I want to be rembered?"

Naturally, that includes what you'll be remebered for and what you did for others, right?

So, if you are anything like me  you work hard to afford the desires of your heart. It doesn't matter if that includes simple things like going bowling or owning a Ferrari. It's not about the money, it's about what you feel is a means of comfort, happiness, and freedom to do the things you love and afford the time to do more of those things.

Alright, moving from the potatoes to the meat. Would you like to start your own business or explore a specific idea you are passionate about?

A good start is to narrow down a few things you like to do, and capitalize on how you can have fun doing those things while keeping a business minded approach to earning a living doing so. That doesn't mean quit your job, buy a motorcycle and a guitar and hit the road with no experience. Tho it does sound kinda fun.

Little Piggy's Going to Market:

The 1st step in marketing is to evaluate yourself, determine your true passions, and talents, and stick with what you know. Otherwise, you like the fabled story goes could wind up crying all the way home. *Like most who hate their job!

Again, don't wait until that office job has you ready to swan dive from the 18th story or go postal on your coworkers or family. Take a deep breath and remeber; you can chose another path. While the metaphor above may be a bit harse, I can't lie; I was at that jumping point a few years back. I was lost without my work and income.

Thank God for my kids charisma, and my wife's support, less I personally may not have survived the mental wear-with-all to find the good in a bad situation.

O.K. enough about the past, reflecting on it, learning from it is good, re-living it is bad!

So where to begin?

I guess the best way to explain is would be to share with you my passions, talents, and goals so you can see how this philosophy can leave the drawing board and transend into reality.

For starters, I am an artist at heart. I love to draw, write, design, and share my views in a nuetral manner respectful to another's interpretation. Thus, I would start by employing a portion of my time writing, drawing, and designing into my business goals.

To go a bit deeper, in my occupation I could design projects to my clients vision, engineer a blue-print, and then utilize the tools to physically build the structure into a reality. What the heck, I was a pool, spa, and waterfall builder for years.

So, the idea that I have trade skills and can design, build, repair, renovate damn near anything may not hold much value in today's market, but the psychology of applying the same principles into my next venture is a bonus. Hence, visualize, build it, maintain it, and make it a reality applies regardless of your specific talents.

Moving on, everyone knows we've turned the corner into the technological era. We are no longer carting our goods using horse's and buggy's , and with these changes came a whole new era in marketing.

Today, we have the technology to sort and deliver goods at break neck speeds. Just take the post office for example. Unlike the ol' days, we can literally rely on recieving our information quickly, and withing a virtual matrix of co-ordinated effort.

Much like an infant screaming for a "Ba-Ba" - we too are spoiled and have come to expect our needs be met efficently, and within what we feel supplies our specific demands.

To elaborate, if we understand our expectations when seeking to fill a specific need, then we can also visualize the expectations of the consumers seeking specific products, services, and our expertise. Becoming aware of oneself, and utilizing a an expanded view in business is equal to parenting, and utilzing the ability
understand a potential clients needs.

Another words, you don't necessarily have to whipe their butt, as opposed to becoming the authority in the area they are coming to you for product, services, or even advice.

Thus, when building a business and repective to the psychology behind any marketing platform, this is why it's important to find something you're passionate about, have knowledge in, or can impart be the "Teacher."

Intergrating basic vitues, ethics, and principles will also yield greater "Return On Investments", or in marketing terms increase your ROI, by establishing repeat customers, and building a silent trust or likeness with them.

Marketing strategy is again, the ability to master the art of pursausion. That doesn't mean lie, cheat, and manipulate, as that method might work for a quick buck, but surely will cost you success in the future.

I don't want to overwhelm anyone here, as these are really just basic fundamentals that should be applied in all ares of our lives as a measure of common sense!

But truly, in today's age...the world is riddled with ignorance, greed, and those who imploy no conscious effort to consider how they would like to be treated. Everything I will share is solid, and is delivered in a non bias, non-prejudicial format, respectful to all race, creed, religious or spiritual beliefs (or disbeliefs) and ultimately does not suggest we further promote ignorance by equally matching ignorance.

In closing, I will be sharing actual business opportunities with links to get you started in the right direction. Let it be known, there are several types of business to explore, and within those opportunities, I guarantee you can find something you are passionate about, have knowledge of, and can use in any niche you choose.

I have a "Massive Vision" for what I know will help set thousands free from the silent chains of slavery, and those who literally hate their jobs!

Respectively, I am already successful, becuase I have the insight to see where this is going. Now, I just gotta build it into reality. I'll give you all the tools and resources you'll need. I'll encourage you to explore thoroughly, and make a well informed decision before purchasing any product, service, or software you might need for your business. If I dont know about a specific product, or wouldn't use it myself, I will not recommend it.

Finally, much of the ingredients you'll need to succeed you already have, and don't know it. A large majority of the products and services I'll be posting are 100% free or will have free test drives. I do not like "rebills" or unauthorized charges on my credit card, nor spam in my mailboxes, therefore, I do not promote ignorance.

The #1 tool in becoming successful at marketing comes in a trio package and applies to life itself. That trio is the pursuit of understanding, knowledge, and glimpses of wisdom to arm ourselves with intelligence.

If you are serious about becoming a business owner online or off, I sincerely hope this site will serve you success, and save you valuable time.
